URBAN LIFE WOMEN'S MINISTRY
To empower, to inspire and to send out. We believe this is symbolic of what God wants for the women of this city! It speaks life, joy, hope and a future.
When you look at the health of a nation, one of the measures is to look at the health of the women in that nation. We believe that our churches and even our nation need healthy women to rise up and make a difference, to change the world they live in. But first, we need empowered, well equipped women. Flourish is a gathering that aims to inspire and empower women to courageously be the truest, most authentic version of themselves.
To find their purpose and live it out boldly. We want to restore dignity and strength to the women of our city. To lift their chins and raise their eyes to see beyond the temporal and forward to a glorious future. Rallying and mobilizing women who know their worth to find worth in and restore dignity to those women in their world who have lost sight of their own value and purpose. We dream of friendships that laugh together, call out the gold in each other and dream BIG world-changing, life-giving dreams together that will inspire a nation and change the world!
Urban Life is a community on a journey to live authentic lives. We have a passion to see those far from God encounter the abundant life of Christ and to see our communities impacted and transformed by the powerful truth of the Gospel. In 1994, the year that Nelson Mandela became president, a year of freedom and change, Craig and Andy Clark planted Urban Life Church (known then as Covenant Life Church) in Midrand.
They believed it was the call of God on their lives and were sent out from Bryanston New Covenant. Our very first meeting place was a tiny scout’s hall. In 1998, we took a giant leap of faith to purchase a property of our own in Midrand – 64 on Main. Urban Life is a family of churches that meets in different locations so that we can reach the communities we live in:
